Anthony Barber
Measurements
6'2" 185 lbs 6'4" wingspan 22 years old
Pro comparison
A poor mans Allen Iverson
Strengths
Anthony Barber is as talented of a scorer as there is in the country. He had a huge jump after his sophomore season and nearly doubled his point average. He is very quick with the basketball and has an array of moves that allow him to get open. Once he is open he has a good pull-up shot or can take it in for the layup. He is an improved shooter from just about anywhere on the court and has a nice mid-range shot. He has good size for the PG position and may even be able to play some SG in small ball lineups. Barber tends to play more like a SG, which is a weakness as the offense will turn into isolation basketball. He needs to do a better job getting other players involved, he is a capable passer, but he doesn't do it enough. His decision making is questionable as he will settle for bad shots at times which has a direct effect on his efficiency. Lastly, Barber is not a terrible defender, but he could be better on that end. Overall Barber has the potential to become a good bench scorer in the NBA, but he will need to improve on some of his weaknesses if he is going to become a solid backup PG.
