Chandler Hutchison is a great example of a player who maximized his opportunities at college (Boise State) and morphed himself into an NBA draft prospect through hard work and dedication. His body and game have matured over his 4 years in school and he really took his game to another level this season after receiving feedback from NBA teams after last season. He fits the mold of what NBA teams are looking for in terms of potential 3+D wings, he has good size/length as he's listed at 6'7" with a long 7'1" wingspan and has improved his ability to shoot the ball. He was the go to player/initiator his Senior season which expanded his overall offensive game and made him much more versatile. Much of the reason why his turnovers are so high is due to his high usage rate and role in the offense. Athletically, Hutchison isn't necessarily a high flyer, but is extremely fluid moving around the court. He has a fairly quick 1st step and can get up the court in a hurry and finish over the top in space. Offensively, Hutchison has worked hard to improve his shot, but still needs to continue improving his consistency, diversity, and range. He's also improved his ability to create space off the bounce and playmake for others, he's a good straight line driver and does a nice job getting to his spots, but could continue to tighten his handle and add some counter moves to improve his ISO ability. Overall, Hutchison would be a great fit for any NBA team and is a highly skilled player who will put in the work to maximize his talent.
