Demetrius Jackson
Measurements
6'1" 198 lbs 6' 4.75" wingspan
Player comp
A larger Nate Robinson who is less streaky on offense.
Strengths
Weaknesses
Demetrius Jackson is a very explosive PG who plays with a chip on his shoulder. His quickness and athleticism allow him to get anywhere on the floor, but his lack of a floater and size cause him to struggle against taller defenders. He will need to develop both hands and add some more offensive moves in order to succeed in the NBA. His defense is good, but again he struggles a little more against taller PGs. His passing is decent, he doesn't put up great assist numbers, but he possesses good enough court vision. He struggles to get passes to open people at times due to his size and lack of length. This will most likely be a problem for him in the pros and he will need to find creative ways to get his teammate the ball. This year he took over the starting PG role and his FG% dropped. He has been a solid 3pt shooter throughout his college career, but this year he shot a poor 32.7% from deep. I'm not sure how Jackson will fit into the NBA, he seems to have the makings of an energizer PG who can score in bunches off the bench. Overall he is a decent prospect who can be a backup PG in the NBA.
