Denzel valentine is one of the more polished players in this draft. He does a lot of things very well, such as passing, rebounding, and shooting. He has a very high basketball IQ and uses it to make up for his lack of athleticism with a series of crafty moves. He was the team leader for one of the best teams in the country and has grown as a player each season. Even though he is listed at SG, he played more PG for the Spartans. In the NBA his lack of quickness may hinder some of his play making abilities. His biggest weakness is his defense, he has never been known as a defender at Michigan State and has trouble sticking with more athletic wings. How much of a defensive liability is he going to be in the NBA? Overall Valentine is a good prospect that will help any team, but would be better off if he was drafted into an already good system.
