Diamond Stone
Measurements
7'0" 255 lbs 7'3.5" wingspan 19 years old
Pro comparison
Slightly less skilled version of Jusuf Nurkic.
Strengths
Diamond Stone is another freshman who has an NBA ready body. He is very strong and is only going to add muscle with pro training. He shows flashes of decent offensive game with jump hooks and above average footwork in the post, but lacks consistency. He is really good at following his own miss and getting an easier basket or drawing the foul. He has good length and hands which allow him to be a good rebounder and potentially a good defender. Stone does lack explosiveness and will need to improve his conditioning if he wants to play with high intensity throughout a game. For now his post game is fairly basic, but he shows potential and it is something that will grow with coaching and practice. He also can become invisible for stretches during a game, maybe this is due to conditioning issues as well, but it's something that can be improved with training and coaching. Overall Stone is a good prospect who would be better off staying in school for another year, but might be one of the steals of the draft if picked later in the first round.
