Elie Okobo is another prospect who has really boosted his stock in the past few months, largely due to his athletic tests at the combine (42" vertical) and his recent 44 pt performance in a playoff game vs AS Monaco. He's a fairly athletic PG who has the potential to play some off ball due to his size and skill set. He's fast up and down the court, but has limited quickness (improving) with the basketball. Offensively, Okobo can do a little bit of everything, but isn't really that good/great at any one thing. He shows the ability to shoot from deep, but could improve his shot mechanics (slower) and shot selection. He also shows the ability to get in the lane and finish at times, but tends to struggle against length and could improve his touch around the rim. Okobo doesn't lack confidence or aggression as he'll frequently try and take the game over offensively. He could improve his feel for the game and decision making as he tends to settle for poor shots and doesn't necessarily look to get his teammates involved as the PG. Overall, Okobo has some good tools/skills to work with and has the potential to come play a backup PG role in the NBA, but might be best served as a draft and stash player.
