Grayson Allen stepped up and had a good year for the Blue Devils after a limited role his freshman year. He is a competitor and plays with a chip on his shoulder. He is very physical and pesky on defense and can light it up on offense. He is good 3pt shooter and has NBA range. He is also surprisingly athletic, he can jump and will take it hard to the hoop and use his vertical to dunk on people or finish crafty layups. He can score in a variety of ways and plays with lots of energy. He may be limited by his height and length once he gets into the pros and is explosive, but not the quickest player in isolation situations. He also lacks counter moves with the dribble and has trouble getting past quicker guards. At times he forces the issue and will settle with a wild shot or turn the ball over. Overall Allen is a good prospect late in the first round and will be a guy who comes in a plays hard. I see his best role as being a bench scorer like Lou Williams or Manu Ginobili.
