Guerschon Yabusele
Measurements
6'8" 240 lbs 20 years old
Pro comparison
Similar to Brandon Bass, Paul Millsap, or Carl Landry
Strengths
Guerschon Yabusele makes up for his lack of height with his physicallity, touchness, and motor. He is a very solid prospect who has played well at every level of professional basketball. He has good length and athleticim that allow him to grab rebounds or challenge shots. He has the ability to stretch the floor or create his own shot. He has solid post moves and uses his body well to free up open space. He seems to have stretch 4 potential, which is crucial in today's NBA. He has the tools to be a solid defender in the NBA, but he will need some coaching and development on that end. Yabusele is a bit shorter, which will most likely limit his defense and offense against taller NBA PF's and C's. He is not the best rim protector as he only averaged 0.44 BPG for his French team. Lastly, he needs to decrease his turnovers by not forcing the issue. Overall Yabusele seems to fit the mold of a modern NBA PF and should be a nice pickup for a team somewhere in the second round.
