Jacob Evans is built like a prototypical NBA wing at ~6'6" and 200 lbs, he has a strong frame and isn't afraid to play physical. He's a good athlete who shows the ability to hang and finish in the paint and get by defenders off the dribble. He's still improving his creating ability as he tends to lack counter moves or is limited by his footwork/creativeness, but he showed the ability to play some spot PG mins for Cincinnati this season. Offensively, Evans put up a respectable 13.0 pts per game and displayed some shooting improvement, but still isn't viewed as a shooting threat. He needs to continue refining his shot mechanics and touch if he wants to be shooting in the mid-high 30% range from deep in the NBA. With NBA level coaching/training Evans still has some decent offensive upside that can be tapped into. Defensively, Evans uses his strength, athleticism, and length to switch on screens and get into opponents. Overall, Evans is a nice prospect who brings size/toughness to the wing position. He'll need to continue improving his offensive game, but he shows potential and has a good foundation in that area.
