Jarrett Allen has the skills and physical tools to be a good big man in the NBA, he has incredible length that helps him grab rebounds and block shots, he is a fluid athlete who can run the floor, and he has good footwork in the post for a player his age. Allen came into the season as one of the top freshman in the country, but struggled early in the year (due to a variety of reasons, some out of his control). However, Allen has turned it on late and is showing why he was a McDonald's All American last year. He has also improved his stoke and looks comfortable stepping outside the paint and shooting a mid-range jumper. His form looks good and with training there is a possibility that he could expand his game beyond the 3 point line. Allen shows flashes of his potential and ability, but needs to do it consistently if he wants to dramatically boost his draft stock. Overall Allen could be a sleeper pick in this years draft if he declares.
