Jevon Carter is a tough nosed, hard working PG who comes to play every night. At 6'1.5" and a large/strong 196 lbs he has the size/strength to defend multiple positions and take advantage of smaller guards in the pros. Defensively, Carter has very quick hands, he averaged 3.0 stls per game and would frequently disrupt passing lanes and force turnovers by picking up 94 feet. Offensively, Carter could improve his overall shot diversity as he struggled to finish around the rim and isn't as comfortable taking runners/floaters as you'd like him to be, however, he averaged 17.3 pts per game and is a good all around shooter. He's has nice footwork on step backs and is smooth transitioning into his shot off the bounce, he also has NBA range and shot ~40% from deep on 5.3 attempts per game. Carter is a true PG who knows how to efficiently run an offense, he does a nice job playmaking for others (6.6 asts per game) and knowing when to attack. He was the clear leader of the team and West Virginia had a successful season largely due to adopting Carter's tough persona. Overall, Carter is likely to be at least a 10 year NBA player due to his BBIQ, self-awareness, and role player potential, he brings high value in the 2nd round and will instantly increase the intensity/toughness of whichever team selects him.
