Justin Jackson was projected to take a big leap this season and become an early 1st round pick, but unfortunately his season was cut short after 11 games due to a shoulder injury which required surgery. At ~6'7" 230 lbs with a long 7'3" wingspan Jackson has the physical tools to play multiple positions (SF/PF) at the next level. Athletically, Jackson shows decent burst in small spaces and has the potential to take slower footed defenders off the dribble, but lacks high level quickness/explosiveness overall. Offensively, Jackson is projected to be a stretch 4 at the next level, he has a smooth stroke, good range, and shows the ability to pull-up off the dribble fairly well. He also flashes some decent footwork and patience in the post as he'll use ball fakes and can finish with either hand. His handle is solid for a player of his size/skill set, but it could use some tightening as he will frequently lose the ball in traffic or have tunnel vision when attacking the hoop. Jackson isn't the most natural passer either, he's capable of completing simple passes, and shows some court awareness, but his lack of touch leads to easy turnovers. Defensively, Jackson has some upside due to his tools, he's fairly versatile and is comfortable defending bigs and has some potential to switch P/R's in the future. Overall, Jackson is a 1st round talent who had an unfortunate year and is easily worth a flier in the 2nd round.
