Marcus Keene made his way into the draft discussion due to his insane Junior season where he led the nation in scoring at 30 PPG. The numbers don't lie, he is a bucket getter. Part of that is due to the fact that he had a huge green light to shoot from anywhere (averaged 22 FGA per game), but overall he's just a natural scorer. He can score from multiple levels on the court, 3pt range, midrange, floaters, pullups, etc. He is a crafty player and does a nice job using his body, hesitation dribbles, and stepbacks to create space. He's also not afraid of contact and is aggressive taking it to the hoop (averaged 8.6 FTA/per 40 mins). Keene is solid athlete and is quick enough to get by defenders and is bouncy enough to hang and finish in the paint. He is a good playmaker, but could be more efficient when it comes to his AST:TO ratio. Keene's primary weakness is his lack of size and length, offensively he's not all that limited by it, but it makes him a liability on defense. Keene, as you can imagine with his shot average, settles for bad shots at times and will likely need to reign himself in a bit in the pros. Overall, Keene is a great scorer and plays with a chip on his shoulder, which are two needed traits if a player of his size is to succeed in the pros. He may go undrafted, but either way he's worth a late round flier pick or a roster spot on a summer league team.
