Omer Yurtseven is an international big from Turkey who decided to attend NC State this past season. He has good pro experience under his belt and was widely considered to be a first round pick in this years draft had things gone well at NC State. However he dealt with a minor suspension that kept him out a few game, combine that with minor injuries and how he was underutilized and it made for an underwhelming freshman season. So with that in mind it's tough to really glean much from this past season. Yurtseven has good size and good enough length for the PF/C positions in the NBA. He has the ability to step outside the paint and can shoot midrange jumpers or 3 pointers at a decent clip. He has good touch around the basket with little half hooks and layups, and does a good job of creating space/sealing off his man. Yurtseven, however, is still fairly raw and will need to expand his post moves, get tougher, and become more aggressive if he wants to thrive in the NBA. Overall he is a skilled player who needs development, but could be a high value pick in the 2nd round.
