Robert Carter Jr. transferred to Maryland for his junior season and sat out a year.  He is a good post player and has the ability to stretch the floor.  He has good creating ability as a PF and has an array of post moves down low.  He can step out and be a threat in pick and pop situations and is able step out and hit the 3.  He is a solid rebounder and is very strong.  Carter is limited to his lack of athleticism, he is an ok athlete, but doesn't excel in that category.  He is 6'8" which for a PF is already small, his size and length help him, but his lack of athleticism doesn't.  Lastly, Carter is a defensive liability and struggled switching onto smaller guards in the pick and roll, and struggled against height/length in the post.  Overall Carter is a skilled player who can find ways to contribute, but his weaknesses may prove to be fatal to his NBA career.
