Semi Ojeleye had an impressive Junior season with the SMU Mustangs and helped lead them to a tournament berth where they lost a nail biter to USC. Ojeleye is an all around tough cover for defenses due to his strength and athleticism. He has an NBA ready body (235 lbs) and is an explosive athlete. He uses his physical gifts to crash the glass and was especially efficient on offensive rebounds. He has high defensive potential for the NBA as he is strong enough to cover PF's in the paint and quick enough to switch out and over players on the wing, this type of versatility is invaluable in today's NBA. Ojeleye was also an extremely efficient player of pick and pops, trailing 3's, and one dribble pull-ups. He has good shooting form and the ability to shoot comfortably from mid-range or deep. Where Ojeleye could improve is on his dribbling/playmaking abilities and his post moves. For now he is mainly a straight line driver and primarily uses jabs to create space. His post moves consist of him using his body to finish through contact or him taking fadeaway jumpers (which he can hit), but he could become more polished. Overall Ojeleye fits today's NBA and will provide toughness/versatility to whichever team drafts him.
