Stephen Zimmerman
Measurements
7'0" 240 lbs 7'3" wingspan 19 years old
Pro comparison
Similar to Myers Leonard
Strengths
Stephen Zimmerman has good size and length for an NBA Center and has the frame to add muscle. He has the potential to be a stretch 5 as he is a good pick and pop player at UNLV. He can run the floor very well and is has a good vertical. He is a good rebounder and passer and shows potential on both offense and defense. Zimmerman does have a little bit of injury history as he injured his right arm when he was young and is not able to extend it fully. This may be part of the reason why he mainly uses his dominant left hand. He gets pushed around in the post at times and will need to bulk up for the NBA. He shows potential on offense and will improve his game over the years, but for now it's not as polished as other post players in the draft. Lastly Zimmerman plays soft at times and will shy away from contact. This isn't as big of an issue because there are plenty of times where he is physical, but it needs to be consistent. Overall Zimmerman will be a good pickup late in the draft for a team who has time to develop him a bit.
