Timothe Luwawu
Measurements
6'7" 205 lbs 6'11" wingspan 20 years old
Pro comparison
A poor mans Paul George
Strengths
Weaknesses
Luwawu is one of my favorite players in this draft. He has exploded onto the draft scene this year and may even jump higher if he does well in the combine and workouts. He has good size (6'7") and length to play both the SG and SF positions. Defense is his calling card, he is very versatile and can guard the 1-3 positions due to his length and athleticism. He has really improved on offense, he can spot shoot from 3, finish over the top of defenders, and run the floor for easy baskets. He personally said that he needs to improve his pull-up game and lower his turnovers. He also needs to expand his dribbling arsenal, he only has a few basic moves which can be easy to predict/defend. This will allow him to be a better isolation player and in turn will benefit many other aspects of his game (passing, slashing, etc.). Lastly, Luwawu is an excellent athlete who can put people on a poster, but tends to avoid contact. Overall Luwawu is going to need coaching like every young rookie, but he has some great basketball tools to work with.
