Draft board
The Cavaliers are coming off another year where they finished as the top seed in the Eastern Conference (And won the Championship!). They have all of their core players locked up and Tristan Thompson signed a large extension last summer. The Cavaliers will have a few free agents, but none that are critical to the team (Lebron opted out, but will re-sign). They will have little cap space to spend on players and no draft picks, so they may end up signing some veteran minimum and undrafted players after the draft. As far as team needs, they could really use a C and a SG. Depth is also critical for the Cavs, beyond their starting 5 they have very few NBA worthy players.
(Updated 7/16/16) The Cavaliers are finally NBA Champions. They were down 3-1 and somehow managed to come back and win a thrilling game 7 in Oakland. Lebron accomplished his life long mission of bringing a championship to Cleveland. As far as the draft goes, the Cavaliers came into it without any picks, but purchased the 54th pick from Atlanta. At 54 they selected PG Kay Felder from Oakland University. I'm not sure how Felder managed to slip this far in the draft, he did well in the draft combine and was stellar in college. His height is his only limitation as he is 5'9", but he makes up for it in many other ways. He will learn under Kyrie Irving and replaces Matthew Dellavedova as the backup PG, great pick by the champs. Draft Grade: A+ Team Needs
