The Grizzlies are a very unique team. They made the playoffs this season after a series of trades and injuries that basically gutted the roster. They were matched up against the Spurs and got swept. Mike Conley is a unrestricted free agent and will command max money. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph are getting older and will need more help. Courtney Lee and Jeff Green were traded at the deadline for P.J. Hairston and Lance Stephenson. This past years rookie Jamychal Green showed good things and has a promising future, but the Grizzlies will need to add more future pieces as their roster is aging fast.
(Updated 7/9/16) The Grizzlies had one of the better drafts of the night. They were able to bolster the PG and PF positions by selecting 2 potential lottery players in Wade Baldwin and Deyonta Davis. Both player add depth, length, and athleticism to the roster. They also selected Rade Zagorac and Wang Zhelin who will most likely serve as draft and stash guys for the future.
