The Jazz finished up a great season where they won 51 games and defeated the Clippers in a hard fought playoff series (round 1, were swept by the Warriors in the 2nd round). The team gelled and all seemed to be looking up for next season, until free agency hit. The rumors of Hayward leaving came true and he opted to join the Celtics, it was a gut punch for Utah. However the Jazz have rebuilt very nicely on the fly, drafting explosive SG (also one of my favorite prospects in the draft) Donovan Mitchell, resigning Joe Ingles, trading for Ricky Rubio, and signing free agents Thabo Sefolosha, Jonas Jerebko, and Ekpe Udoh. They also added some depth in Tony Bradley and Nigel Williams-Goss, both of which will likely see some action in the G-League. Hopefully the team can stay healthy, Rubio, Burks, Favors, and Hood have battled injuries in the past. It seems as if the team is now Gobert's, he was nearly and all-star and DPOY last season, but will now look to take over as the face of the franchise. Snyder continues to progress into one of the better Head Coaches in the league and with a good blend of youth and veterans they're still a team to be reckoned with in the West.
