The Jazz were painfully close to making the playoffs this season, but injuries and key losses hurt them. They have a really well built roster combined with young pieces and guys entering their prime. Their young players include Dante Exum, Rodney Hood, Alec Burks, Trey Burke, Trey Lyles, and Rudy Gobert. Their veteran players include Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors. The Jazz don't have any major holes in their roster and could look to trade some picks, add depth, or pick for future needs.
(Updated 7/8/16) The Jazz were part of a three team trade where they sent the 12th pick to Atlanta and received PG George Hill from the Pacers. Hill is a very good PG and further strengthens this young Jazz team. The Jazz elected to trade the 42nd pick to the Brooklyn Nets for the 55th pick and cash. They selected Joel Bolomboy, Marcus Paige, and Tyrone Wallace. Bolomboy is a local Weber State product and is extremely bouncy and good at rebounding. Point guards Marcus Paige and Tyrone Wallace have a slim chance of making the roster, however, they add depth, shooting, and versatility to the Jazz. Draft Grade: A Team Needs
