The Magic are coming off a growing season where they failed to make the playoffs. They have a really strong core highlighted by Serge Ibaka, Nikola Vucevic, and Aaron Gordon. They also have Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja as part of their future. Evan Fournier is going to be a restricted free agent and it appears as though he is going to get some serious money. The Magic could use their picks to find a PF of the future along with a potential replacement for Fournier.
(Updated 7/8/16) The Magic traded their 11th pick along with Victor Oladipo and Ersan Ilyasova to the Thunder in exchange for Serge Ibaka. That's a steep price to pay for an aging Ibaka. With the 41st pick the Magic selected UNLV big man Stephen Zimmerman. He was the best player available and will add shooting, size, and depth at the PF/C positions. Draft Grade: D/D+ Team Needs
