Frank Jackson PG/SG
The Pelicans had a sub-par year in terms of their record, they were hoping to make the playoffs, and seemed primed to do so after acquiring Demarcus Cousins, but they could never quite get over the hump. They seem all in on Anthony Davis at the moment, paring him with Cousins showed flashes, but perhaps didn't yield the immediate returns management was hoping. We'll get a better understanding if that duo can coexist in today's NBA next season. As for their off-season, they resigned Jrue Holiday to a 5 year 126 million dollar extension, drafted PG/SG Frank Jackson, and recently signed PG Rajon Rondo (reunion with DMC). According to Gentry both Holiday and Rondo will start. We'll see how that works out, it may prove to be decent, but I'm a bit more skeptical. This season has the feel of a make or break year for the Pelicans, if there's little to no improvement then I wouldn't be surprised to see players dealt and people fired.
