The Raptors are a very talented team that have been a good seed in the playoffs for the past few years. They have a core of Demar Derozan, Kyle Lowry, and Jonas Valanciunas. They signed DeMarre Carroll last season and have a fairly deep bench. Derozan seems poised to opt out of his contract this summer and it's uncertain if the Raptors are willing to pay him the max. The Raptors will most likely look to find a potential replacement for Derozan or add another big man with their picks.
(Updated 7/7/16) The Raptors had a solid draft where they addressed a couple of separate positional needs. Jakob Poeltl may prove to be the best Center in the draft and provides depth/insurance for Jonas Valanciunas. Drafting Pascal Siakam at 27 seemed to be a bit of a reach, but he can now fill the hole that Bismack Biyombo left behind. Both players should have some impact next season and will fit in nicely with the Raptors core. Draft Grade: B/B+ Team Needs
